The ceremony took place Thursday morning at Fireman's Hall Museum on 2nd Street.
Officials say, "Fire Service Paramedic Holstein was selected for the prestigious award for his dedicated service and superior performance in the line of duty. He has demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness over twenty years while providing emergency medical services to the public."
The" Fire Service Paramedic of the Year" award is being presented in conjunction with the National Emergency Medical Services Week Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers and Mr. Charles Lillie will present Paramedic Holstein with a commemorative plaque and gift.
