One woman injured in apartment fire

CHESTER, Pa. - May 22, 2009- The fire broke out around 10:30 a.m. in the area of the 1300 block of Crosby St. at the Crosby Square Apts.

A total of four units were damaged during the blaze, with two units sustaining severe damage.

One woman was removed from the building in a ground floor apartment by firefighters and taken to Crozier Chester Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

The Red Cross says it is assisting five of the six families displaced by this fire, totalling 13 adults and three children.

The apartment manager is also putting up the displaced in the Days Inn in Chester.
