MUHLENBERG TWP., Pa. - May 23, 2009 The fire first broke out at around 9:00 p.m. Friday night and continues to burn Saturday.
The fire is at the Excide Smelting Plant on Montrose Avenue in Muhlenberg Township, Berks County.
The fire was finally placed under control about 17 hours later at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
There is a report of one fire fighter injured, however the extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.
