A woman who hosted a small holiday gathering at her New Jersey home this weekend was allegedly killed by two partygoers. Somerset County prosecutors filed first-degree murder charges against Gary W. Wilson and Rocky M. Ditaranto, both of Bridgewater, in the death of Carolyn Stone. The 45-year-old mother of three was found dead early Sunday in the backyard of her Bridgewater home.

Investigators say the men strangled Stone, then struck her in the head with a cinder block before fleeing to their homes.

A motive for the slaying has not yet been determined.

An autopsy determined that Stone died from blunt force trauma to the head and manual strangulation.

Wilson and Ditaranto were each being held in the county jail on $750,000 bail. It was not known if either had retained a lawyer.
