High noon prison time for Rapper T.I.

FORREST CITY, Ark. (AP) - May 26, 2009

The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Clifford J. Harris Jr., will serve a year and a day sentence after pleading guilty to a federal weapons charge. He will serve his time at the minimum security prison in Forrest City.

T.I. was arrested after prosecutors said he tried to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers from undercover federal agents in 2007.

T.I. performed Sunday before a crowd in Atlanta. The Grammy winner told the audience that he'd "see y'all in 366 days."
