A Bucks County man was in court this morning on charges he tried to use carbon monoxide to kill his ex-girlfriend and her daughter. Paul Hurlock was ordered to be held on two counts of attempted murder and other charges.

Police say Hurlock attached one end of a garden hose to the tail pipe of a running car and put the other end inside the home of his ex-girlfriend.

A neighbor saw the hose and called police.

Hurlock was also caught on surveillance video buying a garden hose and duct tape.

The woman and her daughter are fine.
