Police say Adam Reed and a friend were playing a video game Friday night when two men knocked on the door of the home on Revelle Street, then forced their way in around 11:50 p.m. Friday.
Police say after a brief struggle, one intruder shot Reed and assaulted his friend. Reed died from a gunshot wound to the upper body and his friend was treated for minor injuries at Christiana Hospital.
Police say the intruders fled, stealing a couple of items, including Reed's video game console.
