Two students had come forward and told administrators that they were aware that Thompson had a sexual relation with a student.
The sexual assault allegedly occurred at Thompson's residence and evidence indicated inappropriate contact took place while the victim and Thompson were in his car. Troopers believe the sexual assault took place while the two were driving in the Long Neck area sometime during the month of May.
Thompson was charged for 1 count of Rape in the 1st degree and 1 count of Unlawful Sexual Contact also in the 1st degree. He was arraigned and bail was set at $5,500.
