PALMYRA, N.J. - June 1, 2009 However, they'll have to pay for that free time with a chunk out of their weekend.

Today, students learned they'll have to go to school from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday to make up for the lost hours.

A construction crew working outside Palmyra High School struck the gas main on Monday.

The school was evacuated as a precaution and later students were sent home on an early dismissal at 10:00 a.m.

PSE&G crews resolved the leak shortly after the students were dismissed.

No one was injured.
