Massive tree toppled by storm in Bucks Co.

BENSALEM TWP., Pa. - June 4, 2009 6abc.com TRAVEL LINKS: The large tree fell shortly before dawn, around 4:30 a.m., along East Bristol Road in Bensalem Township.

Several homes and business lost power because the tree took down power lines with it. The number of affected customers is still coming in.

A car wash business also suffered damage when the tree fell, but the extent of the damage is still being determined by owners and officials.

East Bristol Road is closed between Clayton Avenue and Pine Street.

One driver skidded into the tree after it fell. The driver was able to walk away, unhurt from the accident.
