Mrs. Fixit: Shadow Boxes

You can find these great shadow boxes at most craft or home centers. Think outside the box and you'll see they can serve in function and not just form.

Several of these boxes hung in a gallery make a stylish display for your kid's art work, and they are easy to rotate out as they bring new pieces home. Plus putting them on display will make the kids feel extra special!

Add some hooks to the box to create a pretty place to hang your keys. You can even use the top ledge to stash sunglasses or outgoing mail.

Add a photo to a shadow box, right against the glass so it looks like a thick picture frame and you've created a little wall safe for stashing valuables.

Hang a shadow box in a little girls room, add some pretty pearl top pins and she'll have a sweet place to display her necklaces.

I've taken the glass out of this box so that you can just reach in and grab the necklaces, rather than having to open and close the little door.

Now that's thinking outside the shadow box! I'm Mrs. Fixit and it's just that simple.
