L&I workers are on the scene. They have condemned the building, saying it is on the verge of collapse. The back of the building is already beginning to collapse.
The condemned structure stands between two occupied buildings.
There is a brand new, recently renovated coffee and sandwich shop on the corner next to the home. It has been ordered shut down for at least two days while issues with the condemned home are taken care of.
On the other side of the condemned building is an occupied home. The family who lives in that home has been ordered out, at least for now.
L&I inspectors may start taking the condemned building down as early as this afternoon.
