Montco Powerball winner comes forward

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - June 18, 2009 - Palmira Nicolo split the $174.4 million jackpot with a winner in Delaware.

She elected to take a cash payout of her winnings. An annuity would have been worth $87.2 million.

According to a release from the Pennsylvania Lottery, Nicolo said she plays the Pennsylvania Lottery regularly and will continue to play.

Nicolo purchased the winning ticket at the Plymouth Meeting Mall Customer Service Center.

The mall will receive a $100,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
