Wilmington police say they've arrested two men after a man was shot and critically injured during the theft of his motorcycle. Police say 19-year-old Isaiah Taylor of Bear and 26-year-old Anel Hubbard of Wilmington approached two men getting on a motorcycle in the 1000 block of Carpenter St. early Thursday with a gun and ordered the motorcycle owner to the ground.

Court records state Taylor jumped on the motorcycle and was about to leave when Hubbard shot the man on the ground four times and ran for home. Police say Taylor fired at the victim's acquaintance as he ran for help, but missed.

Police say Taylor was arrested a short time later in a Wawa parking lot and Hubbard was arrested later in the day.

Hubbard and Taylor are charged with attempted murder, carjacking, reckless endangering, conspiracy and weapons charges.
