Medical student Christina Keegan won the Miss Nevada pageant over the weekend.
But organizers were scrambling to find the crown.
It disappeared Thursday and pageant officials were worried it had been stolen.
It turns the $400 crown was just misplaced by a volunteer.
The volunteer had put it with clothes that had been sent to a shop for alternations.
The crown was found in time to place it on Keegan's head.
She just finished her first year of med school.
