State police say a southwestern Pennsylvania woman charged with fatally stabbing a man with a hunting knife apologized to him and drove him to a hospital where he died. Thirty-two-year-old Nicole McMaster, of Brownsville, is in the Fayette County prison charged with criminal homicide and awaiting a preliminary hearing that has yet to be scheduled.

State police say McMaster killed 46-year-old Clarence Blair III, also of Brownsville, when they started arguing in his pickup truck which was parked along a rural road about 10 p.m. Friday.

Police say McMaster acknowledged stabbing Blair in the chest. Police say she apologized to Blair and drove him to Uniontown Hospital at his request where he died a short time later.
