Save on Sixers, Phillies and Flyers gear

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - July 10, 2009

Comcast-Spectacor Spokesman Ike Richman expains, "The 76ers changed their logo. The Phillies won the World Series," and the teams had lots of outdated and discontinued merchandise, so they decided to hold a blowout sale.

All the items -- including current-player jerseys -- are 75% off. That means you can get a Carter jersey, which originally sold for $225, for $50. T-shirts that were originally $30 are just $5. And novelty items, like a small hockey stick are just $1. A Sixers dress shirt that originally sold for $35, will be $10 on Saturday. Or you can pick up a cap for just $2.

In addition to getting bargains, the sale will give you one last chance to spend time on the floor of the Spectrum, which is closing at the end of the year.

There will be $1 dogs, free soda, and appearances by the Phillie Phanatic and HipHop.

The sale begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. And parking is free.
