Online tool for teens

July 9, 2009 It's called "It's Your Game; Keep It Real." It's designed to teach middle schoolers sex education.

It's estimated about two-thirds of high school seniors have had sex. So the interactive site, designed by researchers at the University of Texas School of Public Health, helps teach young teens about healthy relationships, abstaining from sex, and about contraceptives and Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

"If they're going to be out doing what they're doing, they need to have knowledge of what they're doing," 18-year-old Melanie Sia Harrison said.

One of the developers says their study results show the tool has helped girls especially in deciding to wait to have sex.
