Stray bullet hits boy in Wilmington

An 11-year-old boy was hit by a stray bullet in Wilmington, Delaware Thursday night.

It happened just after 8:15 p.m. along the 300 block of West 24th Street.

Police say the boy was walking in the area when a bullet grazed his midsection. He was taken to DuPont hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.

Investigators are trying to find out where the gunfire came from.
