State police have identified the Pennsylvania woman who died early Sunday when her car plunged into Red Clay Creek. The victim was 43-year-old Carolina Botero of Kennett Square, Pa.

Police say Botero failed to negotiate a turn and drove onto the concrete abutment of a bridge and was valuted into the river. The car landed upside down in the river.

Botero was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say she was not wearing a seat belt and it's not clear whether she'd been drinking. Her dog was rescued.
