Man accused of $1.5 million theft

A former worker at a local company allegedly stole over $1 million. Police in Tredyffrin charged Jeffrey C. Ramsey, 46, of Bryn Mawr, a former controller at JSP International Group, with stealing at least $1.5 million from the company over the course of at least 5 years.

Ramsey allegedly used the stolen money to cover expenses at an upscale spa and salon that he co-owned.

In all, Ramsey faces more than 2,300 counts of theft, receiving stolen property, forgery, identity theft and other charges.

He is free on bail awaiting trial.
