Authorities in western Pennsylvania say an elderly man died in about a foot of water after his lawn mower overturned and pinned him in a creek. Firefighters say the 80-year-old man was working on a relative's lawn when his riding mower overturned shortly before 4 p.m. Friday into the East Springfield creek.

Erie County Deputy Coroner Korac Timon identified the victim as Donald Heidler of Lake City. He says the mower wasn't in a lot of water, but Heidler's head was completely submerged, and the way the mower was on him, he had no chance of escaping.
