Woman electrocuted on SEPTA tracks

A woman was electrocuted and killed on the tracks of a SEPTA train in North Philadelphia.It happened at the subway station located at Broad and Girard Streets.

A witness says he saw a 32-year-old female exiting a train, beign to stagger, and then fell onto the track hitting the third rail.

The medical examiner pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

SEPTA is investigating.

Rail service was stopped at the scene, but was restored at 2:30 p.m.
