Cpl. Bruce Harris says bouncers tried to escort Soots out, but he began cursing and knocked a 44-year-old bouncer to the ground. When police arrived, bar employees had restrained Soots, who was verbally abusive.
Harris says Soots was arrested after a brief struggle and repeatedly said he planned on "getting the trooper and his family."
Soots was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, intent to threaten the life of a public official resisting arrest and two other offenses.
