Suspect charged in casino ATM scam

July 22, 2009 Now, authorities in Northampton County are asking potential victims to step forward and contact them.

Authorities released surveillance video of an ATM at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem. They believe the suspect, 55-year-old Shoumin Chai, has victimized 24 people.

Police say Chai approached people at the ATM and allegedly read their Users' Pin numbers. They believe she stole at least $1,000 but may have taken as much as $10,000.

Police say she's made a career of stealing at casinos across the country and was barred from casinos in Atlantic City.

Authorities said anyone who may have been a victim of at the Sands should call state police at (610) 849-0203.
