A 1996 Toyota Camry operated by 36-year-old Jennie Mattews of Wilmington was driving west on Centre Road when a large tree fell into the roadway and on top of the car.
There were two young girls in car, ages 7 and 9.
The woman was transported to Wilmington Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The children were also transported but were not injured.
New Castle County Police were at the scene but Delaware State Police will investigate the incident, which is in their jurisdiction.
