State Police say the driver refused to pull over for a trooper and exited at route 420 using the entrance ramp for his exit.
The driver of a Mercedes, that was attempting to enter the highway, dodged the car, but struck the police cruiser.
Prospect Park Police joined the pursuit which traveled into Philadelphia.
During the pursuit, the wayward driver struck three to four additional vehicles before bailing out at 74th and Island.
A foot pursuit ensued with police nabbing the man moments later.
According to sources, it is surmised that the man fled because he had a warrant out of Philadelphia for aggravated assault.
He is now in state police custody in Delaware County.
