It happened near the Art Museum just before 11:00 Saturday night.
Police say a man in his late 50's was hit by a dark colored SUV. That man was taken to Hahnemann Hospital.
Police are searching for the driver of the SUV, who never stopped. Witnesses say the SUV might be a Jeep.
If you saw anything, investigators ask that you call them immediately.
