Mrs. Fixit: Plastic Shoeboxes

August 15, 2009

Use the shoeboxes in the kitchen to store food in the fridge, especially when you're getting ready for a party. Their compact shape but larger capacity make them the perfect spot for storing food without taking a lot of fridge space.

Rather than canisters, store sugar and flour in plastic shoeboxes and they'll stack on smaller pantry shelves.

Use shoeboxes to store plastic silverware, napkins and other picnic items to keep them clean in storage.

In your coat closet, shoe boxes do a nice job of sorting hats and gloves without taking a lot of shelf space.

Use some shoeboxes to sort your art supplies, they're perfect size for keeping everything neat and organized.

Short on bathroom storage; use shoeboxes to store different types of medications, make-up, toiletries, and other bathroom items. Label the outside of the box and you've got all of your items in arms reach without taking up lots of extra space.

Portable, stackable and inexpensive storage! I'm Mrs. Fixit and it's just that simple!
