N.J. poised to expand solar projects

New Jersey regulators are expected to approve plans by four utilities to spend money on solar power projects Wednesday.

The state Board of Public Utilities vote is expected to cement New Jersey's position as the nation's No. 2 generator of solar power - second only to California.

The state's largest utility, PSE&G, has the largest proposal under consideration. It includes the installation of solar panels on more than 200,000 utility poles.
