Troopers have learned that the conference facility was hosting a birthday party in which approximately 200 juveniles were in attendance.
According to police, a fight broke out inside the center. Security guards removed several junveiles, but another fight then erupted in the parking lot.
Soon after, someone in a vehicle leaving the scene fired a shotgun blast.
7 juveniles and an adult were shot.
The investigation has revealed that the victims were shot with birdshots from a gun seen in a dark colored vehicle which fled the scene.
Birdshots are used in certain hunting shotguns.
Several victims were treated at Christiana Hospital and Union Hospital for minor injuries.
