'Jumping bandits' rob woman at bank

A woman was robbed by two men who, police say, jumped down from the top of a bank. It happened around 9:55 p.m. Wednesday at the Wachovia Bank on Old Capitol Trail.

Police say an employee of a local business was approaching a device there to make a night deposit.

That's when, investigators say, two men jumped from the roof, landed near the 51-year-old woman, and robbed her. Police say one man assaulted the victim while the other took the deposit bag.

Both fled the scene on foot toward the Driftwood Club Apartments.
