The building was occupied by a pinball arcade on the first floor, with apartments on the second and third floors rented out to students from the University of Pennsylvania.
None of the residents of the apartments were home when the fire broke out One firefighter was transported to The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for non life threatening injuries.
No word yet on what sparked the blaze.
