Crash closes Rt. 48 in Wilmington

Rt. 48 is closed in both directions just east of Route 141 after a vehicle struck power lines around 12:30 p.m.

As a result, several power lines and utility poles came down.

The vehicle that brought down the wires left the scene.

Route 48 is expected to be closed until 7:30 p.m.

Anyone with information on this fleeing vehicle is asked to call Troop 6 at 302.633.5000 ext 746.
