Local courthouse damaged by flooding

BRIDGETON, N.J. - August 12, 2009 Action News has learned that due Wednesday's rainfall, up to 4 feet of water entered the basement of the courthouse.

The building houses the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department, among other offices.

Damage has been reported to records and other properties within the courthouse.

The Cumberland County House, located at Broad and Fayette Streets in Bridgeton, will be closed Thursday due to the flooding.
