Suspects sought in credit card theft

DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. - August 13, 2009 It began on Sunday, August 9th around 2:28 p.m. at the Lowe's Store at 1250 E Lancaster Avenue in Downingtown, Pa.

That's when, police say, a woman accidentally left her purse in a shopping cart, which was left in a parking lot.

The woman soon returned to the store, but found the purse was missing. She the contacted her credit card companies, police say, but not before her cards were used to buy $960.35 in gift cards at the Acme store at 111 W. Lincoln Highway in Exton.

Those purchases were made just before 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, about a half hour after the purse went missing.

The desciption of the suspects are as follows:

Suspect #1- African American female, large build, wearing a light blue sun dress with numerous tattoos on her back and shoulders

Suspect #2- African American female, large build, wearing a pink sun dress with numerous tattoos on her back and shoulders and possibly a tattoo of the "sun" on her chest. She was also walking and/or carrying a small dark dog possibly a puppy.

Any witnesses that may have seen the vehicle that the suspects operated or anybody that might recognize the suspects are asked to contact Downingtown Police at 610-269-0263.
