One teen killed, two hurt in fiery crash

WINSLOW, N.J. - August 17, 2009 It happened around 1:00 p.m. in Winslow Township.

Police say a van, driven by Joseph Beisel, 47, of Philadelphia, was driving north on State Highway 73 as a car, driven by one of the teens, was crossing 73 at Coopers Folly Road.

The van hit the car, then the van burst into flames.

Beisel was able to get out of the van, but the three teens had to be rescued with the jaws of life.

A teenager in the back seat of the car was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital, but was pronounced dead.

The two other teens were taken to Virtua Berlin Hospital.

The identities of the teens involved have not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
