Police say a Mitsubishi SUV, driven by Krista Catanese, 28, of Kennett Square, crossed over the center line and struck a Saturn Ion, driven by 59-year-old Hildegard Cillien of Downingtown.
Cillien was pronounced dead at the scene.
Catanese was taken to Chester Crozer Medical Center.
An investigation by state police continues.
Action News had originally learned that Cillien was the driver who crossed the center line, but on Wednesday learned that was not the case.
