A car veered off of route 70 and slammed into a telephone pole.
Police and EMS crews got the call to respond to route 70 at McCellan Avenue around 1 o'clock this morning. They wouldn't even get a chance to pull the two people from the car. Police say they were pronounced dead in the wreckage.
Investigators have not pinpointed what caused the crash. The names of the victims have yet to be released.
