Gravel spill jams Blue Route, Pa. Turnpike

The accident happened on the southbound lanes of the Blue Route, just north of the interchange with the Schuylkill Expressway.

A truck carrying gravel spilled some of its cargo onto the highway.

One lane of traffic is able to get by, but the backlog is strecthing all the way back to the Mid-County interchange and the backlog is affecting traffic on the Northeast Extension and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
