Pilot of small plane dies in crash

CHESTNUTHILL TWP, Pa. - August 30, 2009 It happened shortley before10:00 a.m. on Greenview Drive in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

The plane crashed behind a home near the Pegasus Air Park.

It was reported that the plane crashed into the backyard of a residence. However the house was not hit.

The pilot was ejected from the aircraft and pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no cause as to why the plane crash occurred.

Police believe the plane was some kind of experimental aircraft and that it appeared to be a one-seater.

Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate.
