Suspect sought in S. Philly bank robbery

Authorities are looking for the man who robbed the Wachovia Bank branch at 2710 South Third Street in Philadelphia Wednesday. Police say the man entered the branch at approximately 10:49 a.m. and handed a threatening note to the teller demanding cash.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled on foot westbound on Oregon Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 30's, 5'11" tall, heavy build, short black hair, clean-shaven, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

This suspect is to be considered armed and dangerous.

The man was captured on surveillance camera. There may be a reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
