Rendell gets lowest ratings in poll

The ongoing budget impasse in Harrisburg is sapping public support from both the Governor's office and the legislature. The Franklin and Marshall poll shows that fewer than 3 in 10 registered adults, 29 percent, think Governor Ed Rendell is doing an excellent or good job.

That is the lowest rating for Rendell since he became governor.

The opinion of the legislature is even worse.

78 percent think the legislature is doing a fair or poor job.

In the Sestak-Specter showdown for the Democratic nomination for senator, Specter is leading Sestak 37 to 11 percent.
