WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - September 6, 2009 State police say 32-year-old Paul Davidson of Sewell and two friends had been riding in canoes Saturday in the park's Batsto Village section when they stopped for a swim shortly before 7 p.m.

When Davidson failed to surface, his friends notified authorities. Divers found his body around 11 p.m. in waters off Washington Township, about 50 yards from where he was last seen.
