J.A. Happ is unable to make his start for the Philadelphia Phillies because of a strained a muscle in his side. He was replaced by Jamie Moyer.

The team said Monday that Happ hurt himself while taking batting practice Saturday.

Moyer started 22 games this season before he was moved to the bullpen Aug. 10. He pitched three innings in relief Friday, giving up a run on one hit, a solo homer by Carlos Lee.

The Phillies are trying to avoid a four-game sweep in Houston.
