Giant yard sale this weekend

For weeks, volunteers have been gathering and sorting hundreds of items for this weekend's giant "Treasure Trunk Yard Sale" benefiting the Wolf Performing Arts Center in Penn Wynne, Pa.

Money raised will go towards scholarships for needy students who want to take advantage of WolfPAC's classes in theater, music and dance.

"We have over 1,300 families who've been donating," explains Bobbi Wolf. "They're part of our family and they've been donating different items to us. They've been donating their choice items, and they've told us, their better items."

At the sale, you can expect to find dresses and coats for $5, along with toys, linens and lots of books. Most are priced at under $10.

Many of the items are still in their original packages. We found a Bombay Company desktop photo album, which'll sell for $10, a new Google reader for $5, and a king-sized sheet set also for $5.

The sale starts with a preview from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. tonight.

"For an extra $10 -- a $10 entrance fee which goes right to scholarship for Wolf PAC -- you get to be the first to look at all the items and have the first opportunity to buy all this fabulous array of items here," Wolf explains.

On Saturday, the sale from from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the WolfPAC, located inside the Holy Apostles Church, at 1012 Remington Road (at the corner of Dover Road and Remington) in Penn Wynne.
