East Hempfield Township police say 21-year-olds Todd James Cook and Iris Lynett Ortiz are facing felony assault charges for the Sept. 2 beating.
Witnesses say the pair dragged 20-year-old Tahyna Jimenez to the ground and kicked her in the head and abdomen outside Empire Beauty School. Police say the victim screamed to her attackers that she was pregnant.
Detective Tammy Marsh said Monday that Jimenez continues to recover and her pregnancy is progressing.
Marsh said it appears the attack was the result of some sort of dispute between Jimenez and another person or group.
Both suspects remain behind bars without bail on parole violations.
