Houston: Daughter told her to divorce
NEW YORK (AP) - September 15, 2009 Houston tells "The Oprah Winfrey Show" their daughter, Bobbi
Kristina, confronted her after Brown spit on Houston and told her
that wasn't right.
Houston left Brown in 2006 and moved with their daughter to Los
Angeles, thinking she and Brown would get back together. She says
Bobbi Kristina told her Brown never followed through on his
promises to her and neither she nor Houston deserved that. She told
Houston to leave him.
Houston also says she's drug-free but it's a daily struggle. Her
drug of choice was marijuana laced with rock cocaine. She admits
she sometimes has a drink and people should not worry if they see
her in a bar, because alcohol was not her issue.
Houston's new CD is called "I Look To You."
