Eyelash drug maker gets FDA warning

WASHINGTON - September 17, 2009 Allergan, the maker of Latisse, has been warned that their website is misleading.

The agency says it downplays or avoids telling consumers the risks of using Latisse.

Those risks include the chance for bacterial infections, allergic reactions, hair growth outside the intended area, or changing the color of the iris.

Allergan was asked to immediately stop posting misleading information and send a response to the FDA by September 24th.
