Philly shootings critically wound 2 men

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - September 18, 2009

On Friday morning at about 3:00 o'clock someone shot a 30-year-old man in the back.

It happened on the 5800 block of Cobbs Creek Parkway in Southwest Philadelphia.

The victim is being treated at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Just before midnight on Thursday, a man who was standing at the corner of Broad and Kerbaugh streets was shot repeatedly.

The intersection is in the Tioga section of the city.

The man was taken to Temple University Hospital.

Witnesses saw three persons running south on Broad Street, right after the shooting.

So far, police have not made any arrests in the two cases, and have not indicated motives for the shootings.
